A health-tech innovation campus planned for Denver’s River North neighborhood has snagged three big names in health care as tenants — University of Colorado Anschutz Medical Campus, Terumo BCT and the American Diabetes Association.
“Over the past two years, Colorado has been ranked one of the top digital health clusters in the nation,” CU Anschutz chancellor Don Elliman said in a statement. “We believe that by connecting our nationally recognized academic research institution and hospital system with the health-tech startup and innovation community, we will be able to further solidify our position as a leader in answering the call to reimagine health care for our nation.”
The exact form of CU Anschutz’s operations at Catalyst has yet to be determined, according to a project spokeswoman.
Terumo BCT, a blood component and cellular technology company with global headquarters in Lakewood, will take 4,000 square feet but hasn’t yet decided what operations and how many employees will be based in the space, the spokeswoman said.
The diabetes association plans to move its regional West Division and Mountain Region offices to the digital-health campus, taking 6,000 square feet.
Previously announced tenants include the Medical Group Management Association, CirrusMD, BurstIQ, Prime Health and Telespine.
Longtime Denver developer Koelbel and Company, health-tech entrepreneur Mike Biselli and landowners the Burgess family are collaborating on the 300,000-square-foot facility.
